Welcome to Arbor. By downloading, accessing, or using the Arbor application ("App") or visiting our website at arborprayer.app ("Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
By creating an account or using Arbor, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Arbor is a prayer journal application that allows you to record spoken or written prayers, view transcribed and organized prayer content, track prayer requests and answered prayers, access daily scripture, and use the Arbor Shield feature to manage app distractions on your device. Arbor serves as a recordkeeper for your personal prayer life. It does not provide spiritual counseling, religious advice, or act as a spiritual intermediary.
You must create an account to use Arbor. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
Arbor offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device settings under Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.
You retain full ownership of all content you create in Arbor, including prayer text, transcriptions, notes, and any other personal content ("Your Content"). By using Arbor, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely to provide the app's features — transcription, organization, prayer tracking, and answered prayer detection. We do not claim any ownership of Your Content. We do not use Your Content for advertising, marketing, or AI model training.
You agree not to use Arbor to:
Arbor Shield uses the Screen Time API to restrict access to selected apps on your device during your scheduled prayer times. By enabling Arbor Shield, you authorize Arbor to manage these restrictions according to your configured schedule. To remove the shield, open Arbor and turn off Arbor Shield. Arbor is not responsible for any consequences resulting from apps being temporarily inaccessible while Arbor Shield is enabled. Arbor Shield is available to paid subscribers and free trial users.
Arbor uses artificial intelligence to transcribe audio, organize prayer content, and detect potentially answered prayers. While we strive for accuracy, AI-processed content may contain errors. Transcriptions should be reviewed and are provided as a convenience. Answered prayer suggestions are based on pattern matching within your own prayer content and are not definitive spiritual determinations.
Arbor integrates with third-party services including speech-to-text providers, AI processing services, and scripture content providers. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We select partners that align with our privacy commitments, but we are not responsible for their practices beyond our contractual agreements with them.
The Arbor name, logo, design system, and all original content on the App and Website are owned by Arbor and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Scripture content is provided through licensed APIs and is subject to the respective copyright holders' terms.
Arbor is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that transcriptions will be perfectly accurate. Arbor is a productivity and journaling tool, not a replacement for professional spiritual guidance, counseling, or mental health services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arbor and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of content, or interruption of service.
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings or by contacting us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon account deletion, all associated data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use of Arbor after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
